'Through the lens' is an illustrated VR film discussing the need for wider adoption Localization in the Humanitarian sector.

The term ‘Localization’ began to be used widely in humanitarian contexts in the lead up to the 2016 World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) and has since become one the most widely discussed topics. Through the WHS, many humanitarian actors, particularly local, national and international NGOs, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), led the call for the international humanitarian system to commit to becoming more inclusive of local and national actors.

Created for the Humanitarian Leadership Academy as a tool to help train aid workers and humanitarian actors. The Academy's platform helps people get the necessary resources for such work.
