A recent commision.

The illustration was meant to be a gift for the clients brother who was moving from Newyork to Tuscany with his husband.

The Brief
The illustration needed to have two male characters, two dogs, a turtle and a grasshopper in a Tuscan scene. Since the duo had moved to Tuscany recently, I decided to portray them as playing with their dogs, where the tortoise and grasshopper try to catch on :)
