I think I like the general direction this has taken. Even though I do feel that the image has become a little too blurry. Will have to bring back some edges. And also since this is for print. I will most probably not hide the lines since I am not rendering this all the way. 

But here it is so far :)

—  Fix the roughs so you don't have to fix the finals. Or so you think :)

Because its easier to keep it rough and throw in as much randomness as I want —  here are some more iterations. I think I have a general sense of where this is headed, given the recurring motifs so going forward I will clean this up.

And since the bottom part of the illustration was set I cleaned some lines.

—  It gets dirty before it gets clean.

Some very, very, dirty scribbling and notes on top of the previous sketch. I felt the previous version was way too flat and needed depth to  increase the feeling of scale. While also exploring with more poses and details. I am quite sure that I want this to be a little surreal, if not all the way.

The Visual Narrative
Loosely, the image is about a dawn breaking or in other words about the day arriving and as the light spreads, in the darker recesses, at the bottom of the image there is a man (symbolic of all of us I guess) laying down a series of mines for the day. 

I am not sure if this holds water, but I like it more than the previous idea of an alien visitation at the moment.

So as I said, things will change…I think I am gravitating toward a surreal concept packed with celestial meets earthly illustration. 

I like the fantasy elements along with the symmetrical and calm vibe. Will continue exploring this further and see where this lands before locking on to anything.

Started thinking of doing this illustration but got delayed due to some work. That said, I am thinking I’ll make this available for print once its done. Finally some personal work! Ha! 

Its a simple concept right now —  a visitation from space type of thing. Something around an alien bringing secret plants or warnings to earth or something on those lines, since lately the world seems to be ending, and the persistence of habits being something I have been thinking about. But also, these are early ideas and since I am not married to them, a lot will change and in the end this might not have anything to do with aliens or secret things haha We’ll see. For now, these are some notes and sketches for today.
