Early sketches for Satori, a protagonist of ‘The Thousand Arms’. Even though the forms are more exploratory, I do want to keep the style simple and flat for now.

My first animation. I used blender for the base, animation and lighting; and drew over it afterwards. There is a glitch in the animation, but I wasn't sure what it was. Will figure with the next try I guess :)

I think I like the general direction this has taken. Even though I do feel that the image has become a little too blurry. Will have to bring back some edges. And also since this is for print. I will most probably not hide the lines since I am not rendering this all the way.

I really cant ever stick to anything. Not sure if any of you have the same problem.

IN any case, trying out some variations of light on dark. They don't make sense lighting wise, but I was just checking the comp. The thing, though, is that I don't want to stray into the darker values, in which case, they are all no-good! Tadaaa! haha Until tomorrow then!

Got my masks in place. Mostly to control edges later. 

In terms of the mood, I want this image to be dreamy like the pictures of a nebula, which are high contrast and yet have an epic-ness to them, mostly because I want to emphasize the masks of the mind on a celestial scale, but not entirely sure of how to do that. But lets see, I'll try and fail as much as I can, and eventually something will happen =)
